Jayme Hoyte is a co-founder and director at SmartTerm Limited, an education management platform that is digitizing schools and providing a stress-free environment for teachers and students where schools are managed efficiently online. Jayme completed her education at The University of the West Indies, obtaining a bachelor of science in economics and international relations. She obtained a master’s degree in global studies specializing in economics and foreign aid. She has completed a one-month scholarship in India on international management for sustainable growth and development at the India Institute of Public Administration. Jayme was named one of DMZ’s Women of the Year 2021 for her contributions in tech.
This project engaged students in a two-week camp during their summer vacations that introduced them to STEM fields through a learning experience focused on developing skills such as robotics, coding, entrepreneurship, innovation and web design. It also offered college advising for students ages 13 to 19 years old. Fifty youth participated. They learned about opportunities in the STEM field and built a website for a new product.

Jayme participated in the IVLP Project Migrating Your Small Business Online, organized by the U.S. Department of State and CRDF Global, in partnership with Georgia Council for International Visitors, WorldBoston, GlobalPittsburgh, San Antonio Council for International Visitors, World Affairs Council of Las Vegas, and International House.
Jayme's exchange experience led to the development of her IVLP Impact Award Project: "Understanding how to migrate my business online, market my products and reach new clients are key business development skills I learned from the IVLP program."
