Jason Grove leads the International Government Affairs team and is responsible for advocacy on issues impacting Abbott’s businesses globally. Since joining Abbott in 2006, he has held various roles with increasing responsibility on both the U.S. and International Government Affairs teams. In addition to his Abbott responsibilities, he serves on a U.S. Government advisory committee which advises the U.S. Secretary of Agriculture and U.S. Trade Representative on trade issues and negotiations with other nations.
Jason spent several years working on Capitol Hill, serving on the staffs of former U.S. Senator (now Governor of Ohio) Mike DeWine, former U.S. Senator George V. Voinovich and former Congressman Ralph Regula. He was Congressman Regula’s chief health policy advisor and assisted him in his capacity as chairman of an appropriations subcommittee that allocated an annual budget of $140 billion for several federal agencies, including the National Institutes of Health and the Centers for Disease Control.
After leaving government service, he was Director of Federal Affairs for the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA), where he represented the U.S. biopharmaceutical industry on public policy matters before the U.S. Congress.
Jason earned bachelor’s degrees in International Studies and Political Science from Miami University and a master’s degree in Business Administration from Georgetown University.
