Israel Torrez is a Bolivian flutist and music conductor. He is the founder of La Paz Philharmonic, which is considered one of the best orchestras in Bolivia and has support from the Bolivian Ministry of Culture, the mayor of La Paz, and Cubana – Boliviana Ballet School. He studied at the National University of the Arts in Argentina and took private lessons from international flute soloist Claudio Barile. He worked for the Buenos Aires Philharmonic, Bolivian National Symphony, and the Andean Development Corporation (C.A.F.). He has won many national and international music contests, allowing him to attend master classes, perform in concerts, and go on tour.
