IVLP Impact Award Project: Building a Network and a Learning Platform for Raising the Level of Cybersecurity
This project built a network of students, cybersecurity experts and organizations to analyze cybersecurity challenges and opportunities. A web platform was developed to promote cyber awareness and online cybersecurity meetings. Please visit: Home - CyberClub Romania
Five online meetings were organized where students and people interested in cybersecurity met experts from the public sector, private companies, universities, and non-governmental organizations. Guidelines were developed for people to improve their skills and succeed in the cybersecurity field. A newsletter with important news from the cybersecurity field was created and international cooperation in fighting cybercrime was promoted.
Ioan participated in the IVLP Project Promoting Cybersecurity, organized by the U.S. Department of State and American Councils for International Education, in partnership with Global Ties Arkansas, Global Ties Sacramento, GlobalPittsburgh, WorldOregon, Colorado Springs World Affairs Council, International Institute of Wisconsin, and Global Ties San Francisco.
Ioan's exchange experience led to the development of his IVLP Impact Award Project: "It was a great experience to learn cybersecurity solutions and best practices from experts from US public institutions, private companies, and universities and to improve my network by meeting other cybersecurity experts from various countries. The best thing is that we have a group where we share important events and discuss different cybersecurity issues."
