Ian Wallace is co-director of New America’s Cybersecurity Initiative and a senior fellow in the International Security program. His research focuses on the international security and military dimensions of cybersecurity policy. From 2009-2013, Wallace was the defense policy and nuclear counselor for the British Embassy in Washington, DC, where he helped develop new UK-US mil/mil cyber links at both the operational and policy levels. Before joining the embassy, he was a fellow at the Weatherhead Center for International Affairs at Harvard University where he researched the military implications of cyber capabilities. Wallace has a Master’s degree in Ancient & Modern History from Christ Church, Oxford University.
