• Heather V. Florance, Co- Chair of the Bunny Mellon Healing Garden Dedicated to the First Ladies of the United States, board member of The Children’s Hospital Foundation.

Ms. Florance Serves on the board of The Children’s Hospital Foundation. She is the co-chair of “The Bunny Mellon Healing Garden Dedicated to the First Ladies of the United States,” at Children’s National. In this role, Heather worked to engage Mrs. Michelle Obama, Mrs. Laura Bush, Former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, Mrs. Barbara Bush, Mrs. Nancy Reagan, and Mrs. Rosalynn Carter to serve as honorary chairs of the Healing Garden. She also serves on several Children’s National’s committees including the Children’s Ball, the Heroes Curing Childhood Cancer Gala and the Race for Every Child 5K committee.

She started her career at the American Stock Exchange in Washington and in New York, and worked in the international trade business division at Mayer, Brown & Platt in DC. In addition, she spent many years doing advance work and special projects in the office of The First Lady.

Heather graduated from SMU in Dallas, Texas, and lives in Washington with her husband, Andy, and two sons.
