Güler Nazey Tekeli Erdilek is the co-founder of Originn, a platform that creates communities around the values of cooperation and brining a multi-disciplinary production culture. Nazey is also co-founder of Merak Creative Works and Cultural Association, which brings together different disciplines of art, and co-founder of İzmir Culture Cooperative. She is part of the Notion Collective, a creative platform for sustainable fashion. Nazey deeply believes in volunteering and community power.
The project brought together women from diverse occupations to network and ensure the flow of information between cultures and geographies. A series of online interviews was conducted with women with the central theme of creating spaces for women in various fields. An in-person summit was convened that included talks by women sharing their experiences, a bazaar showcasing locally produced products, and a networking event for participants and speakers. The project reached 100 in-person participants, plus those engaged through social media and online activities.
Nazey participated in the IVLP Project Women and Entrepreneurship, organized by the U.S. Department of State and CRDF Global, in partnership with Global Ties Alabama, Global Ties Sacramento, Global Ties Akron, Cleveland Council on World Affairs, and International House.
