During his 22-year career at Carlyle, Glenn Youngkin has served in a variety of roles including Chief Operating Officer, interim financial officer, and Global Head of the Industrial Sector investment team.
Prior to joining Carlyle in 1995, Youngkin was a management consultant with McKinsey & Company. He currently serves or has served in the U.S. and internationally on the Board of Directors of numerous Carlyle portfolio companies in the manufacturing, healthcare, consumer products, chemical and energy sectors, including Kinder Morgan, Britax Child Safety, HD Supply, QinetiQ plc and Firth Rixson. Youngkin is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and on the National Council of the American Enterprise Institute.
He earned his B.S. in mechanical engineering and his B.A. in managerial studies from Rice University, and his MBA from the Harvard Business School, where he was a Baker Scholar.
