The project is an Italian podcast and toolbox manual created by young activists with the aim of empowering more young people to actively participate in politics and civic life. Through insightful discussions and interviews with young activists, the podcast will delve into topics pertinent to today's youth, including voter engagement, policy, and grassroots activism. By amplifying the voices of young changemakers and offering resources for civic engagement, Eva’s project seeks to bridge the divide between youth and politics, inspiring a new generation of informed and engaged citizens while reinforcing democratic values and the importance of civic and political engagement.
Eva participated in the IVLP Project Youth and Civic Engagement organized by the U.S. Department of State and Meridian International Center, in partnership with San Diego Diplomacy Council, WorldOrlando, Global Ties Iowa, Global Ties Kalamazoo, and Global Minnesota.
Eva’s exchange experience led to the development of her project: “During my IVLP Youth and Civic Engagement program, I had the privilege of learning extensively and meeting truly inspiring individuals, both within my group and during our various visits. It was during…[this] program…that I first conceived this idea, particularly spurred by the discussions within our group. Many…[people] held deeply negative perceptions of politicians worldwide, which initially saddened me as an Italian politician. I endeavored to understand the factors influencing these beliefs.”
