YLAI Professional Fellows Program, Class of 2016

Esther Vargas is the CEO of Hotel Hacienda Merida and Co-Founder of Ometepe Bilingual School. Her work focuses on finding sustainable ways to further develop the school while improving conditions on the island. Hacienda Merida and Ometepe Bilingual School are nestled on the shore of Lake Nicaragua. Hacienda Merida is a small eco-hotel and home base to her social, environmental, and education initiatives. She graduated from the Academic English Program at Ave Maria University.
