Ebirim Rose Elechi is an entrepreneur and founding president of the NGO Jah-Live Art, Culture and Environment. Jah-Live Art is a cultural space in Grand-Bassam, Côte d'Ivoire that unites the community through art, food, music and other cultural activities.
This project included four mass publicity campaigns centered on public health and COVID-19 vaccine awareness. Twenty volunteers were trained to raise awareness among the communities of Sud-Comoé about the danger of COVID-19 and to explain the benefits of vaccination. The campaigns reached 1,000 people in vulnerable communities. The project also included a workshop to inform participants of the local COVID-19 health vaccination systems. More than 200 communication tool kits were distributed to local community actors trained on how to effectively share news about the COVID-19 vaccine.
Ebirim participated in the IVLP Project Youth and Civic Engagement in 2021, organized by the U.S. Department of State and FHI 360, in partnership with GlobalPittsburgh, WorldDenver and San Antonio Council for International Visitors.
Her exchange experience led to the development of her IVLP Impact Award Project: "Thanks to the IVLP program and training, I am now a leader and model of success within the community."
