The project will integrate AI technologies and inquiry-based teaching methods to transform English language education in Bangladesh. The project will equip educators with innovative strategies to foster student engagement and elevate learning outcomes in classrooms across Bangladesh. Mohib hopes to turn every classroom into a dynamic hub of curiosity, exploration, and innovation, where students are not just passive recipients of knowledge, but active participants in their own learning journey.
The project includes a six-month series of training workshops to acquaint educators with AI technologies for English language learning; curriculum development to integrate AI into interactive lesson plans; and the formation of professional learning communities for peer support and best practice sharing. The effectiveness of these strategies will be evaluated and assessed, and findings will be disseminated to promote the wider use of AI in educational settings.
In late September, Mohib completed his first training for 30 English teachers, empowering them to integrate new technologies into their lessons. He has scheduled three additional trainings and several virtual follow-up sessions, to continue supporting teachers as they implement new strategies in real time. Mohib reported that, “The project has fostered collaboration among educators and experts, leading to a stronger professional network.”
Mohib participated in the IVLP Project Integrating Technology and Inquiry-Based Learning Methods in the Classroom, organized by the U.S. Department of State and Institute of International Education, in partnership with Columbia Council for Internationals, Global Austin, International Focus, Presidential Precinct and World Trade Institute.
Mohib’s exchange experience led to the development of his project: “My IVLP experience provided me with invaluable knowledge and connections that will directly inform and enhance the implementation of my IVLP Impact Award project…Specifically, my interactions and engagements with individuals, organizations, and educational institutions during the IVLP exchange shaped my understanding of innovative pedagogical practices, emerging technologies, and collaborative approaches to education.”
