Deidre Cristal Lee Kin is breaking down barriers in the field of technology. She is a co-founder of the e-commerce business Dingole and the visionary behind Dingole’s flagship project Trinipedia. This is the first mobile Augmented Reality (AR) platform in Trinidad and Tobago and the Caribbean. Trinipedia uses AR, a cutting-edge technology that allows for a digitally enhanced view of the real world, connecting people with more meaningful content about everyday objects in everyday life. Lee Kin has eleven years of sales experience. She has a B.A in Marketing Management, an L.L.B in legal studies, and is currently participating as a fellow in the White House’s Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative (YLAI). Sponsored by the U.S. Department of State and administered by Meridian International Center, YLAI is empowering 250 entrepreneurs and civil society leaders from Latin America and the Caribbean to strengthen their capacity to launch and advance their entrepreneurial ideas and to effectively contribute to social and economic development in their communities and societies through five week fellowships at NGOs and businesses across the U.S.
