IVLP Impact Award Project: Workshop on International Child Abduction

A two-day meeting was organized to bring together federal judges from across Brazil, including the Brazilian Central Authority and Public Advocacy, to enhance judicial procedures on the Hague 1980 International Child Abduction cases.

At total of 45 participants, including 28 federal judges, discussed the judicial procedures needed for the return of abducted children. The project fostered an international learning environment through discussions with additional speakers from Uruguay and the United States and offered networking opportunities across the judicial, government, and health sectors.

"IVLP was not only a learning experience, but an inspirational moment that put participants together to rethink our laws." - Dr. Daniel Barbosa
