Daniel Marchionatti Barbosa, PhD, is an adjunct judge on the National Council of Justice in Brazil.
A two-day meeting was organized to bring together federal judges from across Brazil, including the Brazilian Central Authority and Public Advocacy, to enhance judicial procedures on the Hague 1980 International Child Abduction cases.
At total of 45 participants, including 28 federal judges, discussed the judicial procedures needed for the return of abducted children. The project fostered an international learning environment through discussions with additional speakers from Uruguay and the United States and offered networking opportunities across the judicial, government, and health sectors.
Dr. Daniel Barbosa participated in the IVLP Project International Parental Child Abduction, organized by the U.S. Department of State and World Learning, in partnership with World Affairs Council of World Affairs Council of St. Louis, Global Ties Miami, Global Ties San Francisco, Global Ties Sacramento, International Citizen Diplomacy of Los Angeles and San Diego Diplomacy Council.
