FORMER GlobalConnect Program Associate

Bethany Johnson joined Meridian’s GlobalConnect Division in June 2016 as a Program Assistant before being promoted to Program Associate in January 2017. She earned a B.A. in Chinese Language and Culture from the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky. Previous professional experience includes internships at Walt Disney World and the Department of State’s Office of Public Diplomacy in the Bureau of East Asian and Pacific Affairs. Projects she supported during her internship includes the 2015 U.S.-China High-Level Consultation on People-to-People Exchanges, the U.S.-Japan Townhall with Deputy Secretary of State Antony Blinken, and International Visitor Leadership Programs. She is also published on the Department of State’s website, blogs.state.gov. She has previously lived in Scotland and Taiwan before moving to DC. Bethany speaks Mandarin Chinese and basic French, German, and Classical Chinese.
