Arno Amfort serves as the Chairman of the Executive Board of APACE PLC, a global operating advisory in the healthcare sector and pharmaceutical industry. He is also the CEO of the AMFORT Corporation, an international consulting firm focused on energy, infrastructure, government and investments. Following his participation in the 2010 U.S. State Department International Visitor Leadership Program, “Volunteerism: United We Serve”, Arno assumed leadership of VOLiNTEER, a global advocacy group consisting of the original members of the exchange and a group in the Global Service Leaders network.
Arno also served as a Special Adviser of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations, IAEA, and CTBTO in Vienna. His community involvement focuses on disaster relief and humanitarian aid for recovery activities in the Balkan region and the Middle East, as well as support for grass-roots social media projects and international cooperation in Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Africa. Arno furthermore holds several supervisory board positions with corporations and non-profits in North America, Europe and Asia. He is a vivid volunteer, still keeping his certification as Emergency Medical Technician active (Austrian Mountain Rescue Service), is a licensed State Wildlife Enforcer, and certified as a Master Blaster (for purposes of preventive avalanche activation).
