Andrew holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History and Anthropology from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities and conducted research at the University of Athens, Greece, on the Greek War of Independence. In Minneapolis, he served as International Visitor Leadership Program Intern for the Minnesota International Center researching program topics, creating proposals and developing itineraries. In addition, Andrew holds an Adult ESL Teacher Certification through the Minnesota Literacy Council and served as an ESL tutor at the English Learning Center in Minneapolis. Most recently, he completed a year of service as a member of City Year, and AmeriCorps program, in Washington, DC. In this role, Andrew instructed students performing below grade level in literacy and math in Southeast DC, and planned monthly school wide events, including the Smarts and Arts festival attended by 400 community members. Andrew has an intermediate level of Spanish and knows basic Greek.
