AREAS OF INTEREST: Advocacy and Healthcare – Ammar believes in the power and impact of small, independent projects. Ammar faces the challenge of broadening volunteerism throughout Iraq and improving philanthropy in assisting youth, despite the existence of poverty and unemployment.

Ammar is an Iraqi doctor who started his service work four years ago as a medical volunteer in a local clinic treating patients and victims of IEDs, and educating nonmedical personnel on first aid procedures.

In addition to his work in the medical field, he raises funds for orphans and underprivileged families, participates in public awareness campaigns and advocacy throughout the year, and is a member of the TEDx Baghdad team.
