His project reached over 300 people from 11 different municipalities through 3 workshops. The training focused on agrarian property law and the rights of private property owners in rural areas dedicated to agricultural production. His project promoted the value and importance of the right to property and the use of judicial means for peaceful resolutions to any conflicts that may arise around agricultural property. Participants provided positive feedback, commenting on the far-reaching implications of the workshops. Several attendees stated that their knowledge about Land and Agrarian Development Law directly improved as a result of these trainings.
Alexis was a participant in the IVLP Project Rule of Law and the U.S. Judicial System organized by the U.S. Department of State and CRDF Global, in partnership with World Affairs Council of Kentucky & Southern Indiana and Utah Council for Citizen Diplomacy.
Alexis' exchange experience led to the development of his IVLP Impact Award Project: "I paid special attention to the importance of judicial institutions in the United States, which serve as the main means of access for individuals to resolve their conflicts."
