Mr. Jones II is a globally recognized corporate executive and communication leader with a professional background in media-entertainment, retail, financial services, technology, investor relations, philanthropy, and international policy. He has significant executive experience in corporate, governmental, multilateral, and civil-society sectors. As a global professional, he has worked internationally in: Hong Kong, South Africa, Germany, United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, Nigeria and Switzerland. Furthermore, he has extensive business development experience in emerging markets and in Asia, the Middle East, and Europe.

Mr. Jones II's professional background and his unique ability to strategically connect corporate objectives, customer experience metrics, regulatory frameworks, business risks, value creation, and capital market opportunities, has made him a sought-after professional leader by Fortune 500 companies, national non-profits, government leaders, and multilateral agencies. He has received numerous awards for his corporate business development strategies, investor relations acumen, global corporate communications and marketing proficiencies, and customer experience and growth capabilities.

Currently, he is the Executive Vice President, Chief Strategic and Corporate Communications Officer at Monumental Sports and Entertainment (MSE) Company reporting to the Chairman and CEO. In this role, he is oversees the formulation of MSE's corporate growth and development strategies, advances its operational performance and implementation of business objectives across the company's media-entertainment and sports ecosystem including: National Basketball Association (NBA), National Hockey League (NHL), Women's National Basketball Association (WBNA), professional Esports gaming, all MSE venues including Capital One Arena and the MNMT media which is distributed on linear television and over-the-top (OTT) platforms. Additionally, he oversees investor relations and capital market engagement, providing strategic direction in shaping the company's financial success and growth. As MSE's Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Mr. Jones II, leads all corporate, consumer/fan, employee, media-entertainment, and brand-experience communications, as well corporate brand marketing strategies for MSE's teams, corporate stakeholder management and is
MSE's lead global media spokesperson.

Prior to joining MSE, Mr. Jones II was the Executive Vice President, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer at Starbucks Coffee Company (NASDAQ: SBUX), reporting to the CEO. He led the company's global government affairs and public policy divisions, as well as Community Impact, Social Impact, Starbucks Foundation and Starbucks Alumni functions worldwide. Additionally, he directed the companies continued expansion in international and emerging markets through public-private partnerships and economic development focused initiatives. Furthermore, he was the lead executive for the company's Board of Directors Environmental, Partner and Community Impact Committee which governs the corporation's work globally and investor engagement, Finally, he was a governing member of the company's Global Brand Council and oversaw
the company's social-impact retail stores globally.

Before this expanded role, Mr. Jones was the Executive Vice President, Chief Communications and Public Affairs Officer at Starbucks Coffee Company. He led the company's global communications, partner (employee) communications and social media platforms, corporate and investor communications, brand communications and experiences, Starbucks Stories, and Starbucks Entertainment teams worldwide. As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, Mr. Jones II worked to advance the company's global growth agenda, and proactively directed investments in service to products, partners (employees), customers, shareholders, and social impact.

Before joining Starbucks, he was the Chief Corporate Affairs & Communications Officer for Vanda Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ: VNDA), a global biopharmaceutical company. As a Named Executive Officer, he served as Vanda’s lead interface to the investment community which led to a 61% stock appreciation, 28% increase of new investors, and 64% increase in market capitalization during his tenure. Additionally, he served as an executive member of the company’s corporate development, M&A, & licensing review committee, and its Board of Directors audit committee.

His leadership in those roles resulted in the company launching the largest number of clinical trials since its founding and successfully transitioned it from a central nervous system-focused to a multi-therapeutic product organization. As the company’s lead spokesperson, he directed the following corporate functions: business analytics and corporate intelligence, government relations, corporate brand marketing, sustainability, regulatory policy, and patient advocacy.

Prior to his role at Vanda, Mr. Jones II held several C-Suite roles at private and public companies, managing upwards of ~$570 million in P&Ls, while providing an array of professional services to Fortune 500 companies in the media-entertainment industry (i.e. Google, NBCUniversal, Expedia Group [Hotels.com], Caesars Entertainment, Ion Media Networks, Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy, and Bloomberg Media), and organizations (i.e. Independent Film & Television Alliance, American Golf Industry Coalition, and National Association of Broadcasters).

Additionally, as a W.K. Kellogg Foundation executive, Mr. Jones II directed over ~$420 million in structured investments, successfully launched 37 social enterprises, established the celebrity entertainment and independent artist division, and oversaw $290 million in series funding rounds of portfolio held companies.

As the first African American Policy Director in the U.S. House of Representatives’ leadership, he crafted more than 214 pieces of legislation; 142 became law. In 2008, Mr. Jones II was appointed as a lead policy negotiator and external communicator for the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008, which created the successful Troubled Assets ReliefProgram (TARP).

Mr. Jones II is a Forbes Communications Council executive member, Washington Economic Club advisory board member, Fast Company Executive board member, Lagrant Foundation board member, Meridian International Center board member, Blue Star Families board member, member of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Dean’s Advisory Council at Iowa State University, board of member of the National Fair Housing Alliance, and a lecturer at Harvard University. He is a devoted jazz fan, art and horology enthusiast, and avid world traveler.
