Abdullah Al Jbour is founder of the Citizenship Center in Jordan, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting citizenship values in the Middle East and North Africa. Mr. Al Jbour previously worked as a trainer and consultant for international organizations in the fields of civic education, digital transformation and political literacy. He has authored several books and studies on identity, citizenship, democratic transformation and has been honored with the "Youth Ambassador for Peace" by the World Peace Federation and the Youth and Students for Peace organization.
This project enhanced digital participation of women and youth in remote and impoverished areas of Jordan. Through a series of workshop sessions, participants received training on active citizenship skills, digital transformation, and podcasts. Special emphasis was placed on leveraging the podcast industry as a means of amplifying voices and fostering meaningful dialogue in civil society. Following project completion, several participants created digital blogs and podcast episodes to showcase their institutions and discuss citizenship and civic engagement.
Abdullah participated in the IVLP Project NGO Management, organized by the U.S. Department of State and the American Council for International Education in partnership with the World Affairs Council of New Hampshire, WorldBoston, and Global Ties Detroit.
