GSL CONNECTION: Attended the Service Innovation Summit in Madrid, 2012 & traveled to the United States on an International Visitor Leadership Program.

AREAS OF INTEREST: Community Involvement – Abdelhak’s volunteer work focuses on integrating immigrants, specifically Moroccans, into his community through sports activities and education.

Abdelhak currently lives and works in Barcelona, Spain, but grew up in Tangier, Morocco. Although presently working at the Department of Arabic Dow Jones & Company in Barcelona, he also acts as the project coordinator for Ibn Batuta-Sant Boi, and as a volunteer and member of the Association of Moroccan Students. Within his community, Abdelhak has been successful in helping over 200 people. Last September, Abdelhak coordinated a project between his Association of Moroccan Students and the Catalan Islamic Center of Barcelona for Ramadan. Throughout the month, participating students prepared the free Iftar for the community and created food parcels for those in need.
