Through the company he founded, Keela.co, Mr. Nejeed Kassam has been engaged in efforts to democratize technology to support non-profit entities and to develop software that responds to the needs of the non-profit sector. He is currently seeking to expand Keela’s reach to the government sector, noting that government bodies at all levels face similar challenges in leveraging resources to solve social problems. Mr. Kassam’s accomplishments in the technology sector earned him an invitation to the 2016 Global Entrepreneurship Summit, and in 2012, he was one of the youngest recipients of the exclusive Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal, awarded by the Government of Canada for service to the people of Canada.
Mr. Kaspar Korjus is part of Estonia’s e-government leadership team. As Managing Director of e-Residency, he is helping to build the first transnational digital identity platform while managing the e-Residency team and sharing the know-how of digital governance internationally. e-Residency is a new fully digital country for global citizens, built on inclusion, transparency and legitimacy to empower citizens globally and to achieve world-wide digital and financial inclusion. Mr. Korjus is also listed by Forbes Estonia “30 under 30” people as #1 in Technology and Finance.
Dr. Ivy Patdu is the Deputy Commissioner of the National Privacy Commission, which was recently created to administer and implement the Data Privacy Act of 2012, which ensures compliance of the country with international standards set for data protection. With academic training in both medicine and the law, she previously served as a member of the Health Privacy Group of the Department of Health, where she helped develop the Privacy Guidelines for the Philippine Health Information Exchange of the Department of Science and Technology, Department of Health and the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation.
