The Saylor Academy Summit: Closing the Global Skills Gap, hosted by Meridian International Center and Saylor Academy will convene leaders from the World Bank, the National Skills Development Corporation, members of the private sector, higher education, and NGOs from around the world.
The two-day convening will address chasms developing between the need for knowledgeable and technology-skilled workers to further economies, and the availability of skills training and education to prepare these workers. At present, these skills gaps manifest as talent shortages, underemployment/unemployment and poverty. Innovative education solutions, and collaboration across sectors (and even across nations), will be needed to address these gaps and bring full workforce participation to developing and changing economies.
The summit will start at 8:30 am on Thursday, November 14 and will end at 2:30 pm on Friday, November 15th. Click HERE for more information about the event.
