Meridian International Center and the Krach Institute for Tech Diplomacy at Purdue will host the next Meridian Tech Labs Masterclass on July 21, from 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM, focused on developing a clear, practical understanding of an important category of nuclear reactor designs: Small Modular Reactors (SMRs).
This 90-minute interactive virtual session will explain what SMRs are, how they work, and why they matter in the context of U.S. energy security, innovation, and the growing electricity requirements of AI infrastructure. The session will also cover the core technical and deployment questions policymakers should understand, including fuel supply, safety, used fuel, siting, and deployment readiness.
This session will be led by experts from Purdue University
