Meridian Tech Labs Interactive Session on AI in Crisis Response

AI can be a critical tool in crises, from natural disasters requiring rapid action to complex, multi-year peacebuilding missions. On October 28, Meridian’s Tech Labs and UNOPS will host an interactive demonstration of current applications and future directions for AI in crisis response.

Grounded in case studies from around the world, this two-hour session will spotlight Compass, a UNOPS geospatial innovation and analytics suite of tools and services that leverages data and AI for humanitarian response and live, custom scenario response. The session will showcase both rapid disaster response (such as recent work in Venezuela and Nepal) and long-standing peacebuilding efforts in Sudan. These global examples will also offer practical lessons for strengthening U.S. domestic resilience using AI.

This session is open only to Tech Lab Alums, please email techlabs@meridian.org to inquire.
