Global Business Briefing with His Excellency Andreas Michaelis

Thursday September 26, 2024

Germany and the United States of America are bound by a close friendship based on historical ties, shared experiences, values and interests. Close transatlantic coordination remains just as important as in decades past for maintaining peace and security in Europe and around the world, especially against the backdrop of Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine. Partnership between Germany and the United States is crucial when facing global challenges such as climate change and strengthening the multilateral order.

In 2022, the United States was the most important trading partner for Germany and the European Union. German companies are the third largest foreign employer in the US, providing a total of around 923,600 jobs. Ambassador Michaelis will join us at Meridian to provide his perspective on the state of the bilateral economic relationship

This program is only open to members of the Meridian Corporate Council. If you have any questions, please reach out to Rodrigo Moreschi at corporate@meridian.org
