On Wednesday, September 16, 2026, Meridian International Center, in partnership with BP, will convene America 250 in the Americas, a special program and reception focused on the importance of hemispheric energy partnerships to regional prosperity, security, and competitiveness. Bringing together senior U.S. government officials, ambassadors and senior embassy representatives from Latin America and the Caribbean, and private-sector executives, the program will explore how the United States and its regional partners can advance shared priorities through practical energy cooperation, including economic development, investment, supply-chain resilience, and long-term competitiveness. The discussion will feature remarks from David Campbell, Senior Vice President for Latin America and the Caribbean at BP, alongside additional senior voices from the public and private sectors.
