In an era marked by increasing demand for cutting-edge U.S. military technology among allied nations, the landscape of defense industrial cooperation is rapidly evolving. Countries worldwide seek collaboration in the production of advanced components when buying technology, aiming to strengthen their domestic industries while gaining access to critical technology. This cooperative approach can be a mutually beneficial and cost-effective economic catalyst, increasing industrial capacity and resilience, supporting job creation, and encouraging human capital development while strengthening U.S. military partnerships around the world.
On October 2, Meridian will convene military attachés, trade ministers, and key stakeholders to explore the multifaceted opportunities and challenges associated with defense industrial cooperation. A panel of experts will dissect regulatory and policy hurdles that need to be overcome to create cooperative relationships and explore opportunities for future U.S. defense cooperation with regional allies and partners. The program will also include a facilitated discussion on how to engage policymakers and leverage industry expertise to navigate this balance.
