Meridian International Center presents an exhibition of icons from the collections of the oldest monastery in Ukraine, the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, and the Lviv National Museum, as well as a selection of ancient artifacts from the Museum of National Cultural Heritage PlaTar. Most of these objects have never before been seen in the U.S. In addition to icons dating to the 14th century, crosses, and other liturgical objects will be on view. The ancient artifacts cover a broad time frame and include pottery from the 4th millennium B.C., pieces of Scythian gold, and a small cross from the 12th-13th century. This exhibit was organized by the Foundation for International Arts & Education of Bethesda, Maryland.
