Women in Political and Social Sectors

• Witness the U.S. political system during the 2014 Congressional elections, and the participation of women in the system at the local, state and national levels;
• Examine private sector and local, state and federal government initiatives and programs that encourage women’s political participation and representation in public office;
• Explore and evaluate public and private sector strategies to increase women’s access to education, economic opportunities and health care; and
• Gain insight into legislation and programs that promote equal pay and fair treatment for women in the workplace as well as promote the value of women’s contributions in the home and as primary caregivers for the young and the elderly.
