Washington D.C.: Meridian International Center is pleased to welcome Drew Maloney, Corporate Officer and Vice President, Global Government Affairs and Public Policy, Hess Corporation, to the Corporate Council.
Based in Washington, D.C., Mr. Maloney leads the international, federal, and state government affairs of Hess Corporation, a global independent energy company. He is recognized as a leading expert in government relations, and was recently named to Washington’s Power 100 list.
Prior to his appointment at Hess Corporation, Mr. Maloney was CEO for Ogilvy Government Relations, one of Washington’s most prominent bipartisan government affairs operations, and was a founding partner of the Federalist Group, acquired by Ogilvy and Mather in 2004. Mr. Maloney also served as External Affairs Advisor to the Republican National Committee and Head of Legislative Affairs to the Romney Readiness Project. He was also Administrative Assistant and Legislative Director for Republican House Majority Whip Tom DeLay, managing his congressional office and playing an integral role in formulating energy, judiciary, commerce, and campaign finance reform policy initiatives.
Mr. Maloney, who holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Randolph-Macon College and a J.D. from Catholic University’s Columbus School of Law, has published articles in Forbes and China Daily about the need for entities to integrate government relations and public affairs to successfully mitigate political risk.
He is a member of the Board of Trustees at Randolph-Macon College, and has served on the Cleveland Park Historical Society Board and the Development Committee for Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Georgetown. Mr. Maloney is also a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO).
