Indonesia – Inspiring a Culture of Service, Volunteerism in the U.S., 2013

ʺInspiring a Culture of Serviceʺ is open to emerging leaders from around the world – offering an opportunity to experience the impact of civic engagement – as powered by the spirit of volunteerism. Civic engagement through volunteer service provides an essential framework for democracies, a strategy to address social challenges in the community, and a means to develop key leadership skills.

Organized by Meridian International Center, the official exchange program will open Monday, June 16, 2013 in Washington, DC sharing the spotlight of the annual Conference on Volunteering and Service, the world's largest convening on volunteer service hosted by Points of Light. Participants will spend week #2 in Indianapolis and Chicago for more focused programming in their issue areas and participate in an action planning seminar to outline their next steps at home.
