Santi Novani earned her doctoral degree from the Department of Value and Decision Science at the Tokyo Institute of Technology. Her research interests include service science, game theory, decision-making, multivariate statistics, and negotiation. She values co-creation in service systems using modeling and simulation. Ms. Novani has been published in several international publications, including Journal Systems Research and Behavioral Sciences, Wiley & Son. She has also served as a member of several research projects, and has received awards from DIKTI, JSPS, and LPPM ITB.
This project included a short course program in Bandung, Indonesia using collaborative learning and the problem-based learning model to solve business problems experienced by startups. A total of 395 students worked with 53 mentors, 45 coaches and 8 partner startups for extended periods of time to gain knowledge and investigate and solve authentic, complex, real-world problems. Student teams submitted proposals utilizing the information they learned to integrate technology and innovation into solutions for businesses disrupted by Covid-19.
Santi participated in the IVLP Project Educational Reform to Promote STEAM and Workforce Development, organized by the U.S. Department of State and Meridian International Center in partnership with the Georgia Council for International Visitors, GlobalPittsburgh, and Global Ties San Francisco.
Santi's exchange experience led to the development of her IVLP Impact Award Project: "The IVLP has been the best international program for my job and for my life steps.
