Armed with a B.S. and an M.B.A. from the University of Maryland Smith School of Business, Lorna started her career in business and became Group Marketing Manager for a large pharmaceuticals company in Chicago, where she was responsible for promotions and branding of multi-million and billion-dollar products. After 10 very successful award winning years in marketing, she decided to change course and follow her passion for design. Upon completion of a B.A. in Interior Design from Marymount University she started Savant Interior Design. She quickly became recognized as a leader in the design field and is a frequently requested guest speaker and panelist at Design Seminars and business forums. Chosen as one of DC’s top designers by Home and Design magazine, she also received a 2013 Designer’s Choice Award through voting by her fellow Washington DC area interior designers and architects for her exemplary work. Heavily influenced by growing up outside of two of the world’s most vibrant cities – New Orleans and New York she is a sought after designer by clientele who appreciate her ability to translate cultural elements through sophisticated design.
Lorna is very passionate about empowering women and children domestically and abroad.
