Hendricah R. Nabukwasi is a highly accomplished professional with extensive experience in international trade and development, social enterprise, market research, and non-profit management. She is currently the Country Lead at Challenges Uganda where she provides strategic leadership, helps with program development, and oversees organizational operations. Previously, she co-founded UKUMBI, an entrepreneurship organization, where she led social enterprises, built partnerships, and managed ongoing projects, which resulted in job creation and support for entrepreneurs. Her previous experience also includes a leadership position at Optimisa Research Limited where she managed research projects and conducted evaluations and serving as the Senior Director of Operations and as the Africa Lead for Grow Movement. Hendricah has a strong background in project management, market research, and advocacy, and has made significant contributions to poverty alleviation and business development not only in Uganda but in other African countries as well.
The project promoted socio-economic development by fostering entrepreneurship growth in Uganda. A virtual mentoring and coaching program model was created for 10 women-led small and medium enterprises, resulting in enhanced financial and business management skills among the entrepreneurs through four entrepreneurship masterclasses. Participants learned about marketing, networking, financial planning and taxation.

Hendricah participated in the IVLP Project Entrepreneurship as the Engine of Prosperity and Stability - Small Business Development organized by the U.S. Department of State and Meridian International Center, in partnership with Global New Orleans, Global Ties Idaho, and Global Ties San Francisco.
Hendricah's exchange experience led to the development of her IVLP Impact Award Project: "The experience opened doors for me and gave me a fresh perspective in development programs."
