Yellowstone National Park is one of the most popular U.S. destinations among foreigners, with Chinese tourists making up 34 percent of total international visitors to the park. To accommodate the hundreds of thousands of Chinese guests who travel there each year, the National Park Service hired Mandarin-speaking rangers in 2016, and West Yellowstone, where many tourists stay, has seen a growing number of Chinese restaurants.
