Ambassador Tom C. Korologos
Tom C. Korologos has had a distinguished career in both the public and private sectors. Foremost among his many accomplishments, he served as United States Ambassador to the Kingdom of Belgium from 2004 -2007.
From 1971 to 1975, Amb. Korologos served in the Nixon and Ford presidential administrations and has worked closely with Presidents Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, and George W. Bush. From 1962 to 1971 he worked for Senator Wallace F. Bennett of Utah, and has attended every Republican National Convention since 1972, serving several times as Director of Official Proceedings. He has been involved in more than 300 U.S. Senate confirmations including several vice presidents, Supreme Court justices, and cabinet secretaries.
Amb. Korologos has traveled extensively overseas as a member and Chairman of the Advisory Commission on Public Diplomacy, and from 1995 to 2002 as a member of the Broadcasting Board of Governors. In 2003, Ambassador Korologos was a Senior Counselor to the Coalition Provisional Authority (CPA) in Baghdad.
In the private sector, he co-founded Timmons & Company, a Washington, DC consulting firm, and is currently a strategic advisor at DLA Piper. Early in his career he was a journalist for The Salt Lake Tribune and the Associated Press. Amb. Korologos serves on several non-profit boards, including: The Choral Arts Society of Washington, The National Security Agency advisory board, and The Aspen Institute/Rockefeller Foundation Commission on Reform of the Appointment Process.
