One Nation, Many Approaches: How Mayors are Tackling the Crisis

Meridian will host a panel discussion featuring mayors for a program focused on how cities are re-opening across the country. The bipartisan panel will provide insight on the health and safety measures, as well as the economic factors that they are taking into consideration as they roll out local regulations and enforcement. Through a moderated conversation and Q&A, foreign diplomats and private sector leaders will understand the perspectives that are driving policy decisions as communities seek to resume normal business operations, especially in the face of summer tourism and travel. This occasion will serve to strengthen ties at a time when in-person international exchange opportunities are limited, setting the stage for continued economic and cultural cooperation and growth in the wake of the pandemic.
