As the nation emerges from its longest government shutdown, the administration of President Donald Trump approaches its one-year mark with a mix of legislative and executive accomplishments. With the geopolitical, legislative, and domestic landscape continuing to evolve, the Administration is weighing next steps on trade, intensifying counter-narcotics enforcement in the Caribbean, and pursuing expanded domestic production of energy and critical minerals.
Meridian will host Assistant to the President and White House Deputy Chief of Staff James Blair for a conversation on the Administration’s assessment of 2025 and priorities for the coming year. The program will explore how the Administration is shaping its foreign policy and legislative agenda amid heightened political turbulence—and how the approaching midterm elections may influence its strategic choices moving forward.
