Callie joined Meridian in August 2011 and works on the planning, logistics, and budget management for the division’s international exchange and youth development programs. She has experience organizing large-scale conferences with high-level delegates, including coordinating speakers, venue, interpretation, and meeting scheduling, on behalf of the U.S. Trade and Development Agency. Ms. Wallace has worked with several international visitor groups from the Middle East, including the Iraqi Young Leaders Exchange Program (IYLEP) at Meridian in 2012 and at the Global Youth Village in 2010. Prior to joining Meridian, Callie worked at the Egyptian Center for Women’s Rights in Cairo, Egypt. She graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and Arabic. She has also studied at the American University in Cairo and Middlebury Arabic School. Ms. Wallace is proficient in both Modern Standard and Egyptian Arabic.
