Outward Bound
American Art at the Brink of the Twenty-First Century

The list of participating artists includes such prominent names as Robert Rauschenberg, Roy Lichtenstein, Wolf Kahn, Jacob Lawrence, Chuck Close, Audrey Flack, Faith Ringgold, Jim Dine and Sam Gilliam, but the majority are names perhaps less familiar internationally. Without exception, artists were eager to be a part of this new cultural exchange project.
